Coronavirus - Job Retention Scheme - Furloughing

All UK employers are able to access support to continue paying part of the salary of employees who would otherwise be laid off – up to 80% to a cap of £2,500 per month from 1st March to 31st October.  The minimum furlough period is 3 weeks.

Employees need to be notified of this change, under employment law, and must not work when on furlough.  Furloughed directors can carry out duties to fulfil statutory obligations but not activities that could be considered as generating income.

Information must be submitted to HMRC through a portal, which is now open, and we are assiting our payroll clients with their claims.  If you need any assistance please contact us.
