Self Employed Income Support Scheme 4 - Newly Self Employed

There is no firm date for when claims can be made yet.

However the scheme will be extended to include the self employed that have filed income tax returns for the tax year 2019/2020 before 2nd March 2021.

HMRC will be sending a letter over the next 2 months enabling the newly self employed to register as eligible. The letter will give a lot of detail as to what is needed and information will need to be uploaded to a dropbox controlled by HMRC.

Those affected will be called first by HMRC to advise of the process. It is important to check that HMRC hold the right phone number for you within your government gateway account if you have one. The letter will give a phone number to call to make sure that the phone number held is correct and we advise checking once you receive the letter.
