Audit Manager

Experienced Audit Manager

Location: Dorking, Surrey

Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm (flexible working available)

Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

About the Role

We are a long-established accountancy practice looking for an experienced Audit Manager to join our team in this new position. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant to take on a varied and rewarding role in a supportive, close-knit environment.

As Audit Manager, you will be responsible for planning, managing and delivering audit and financial reporting engagements for a diverse portfolio of clients. You'll work closely with partners and clients, leading audit teams and ensuring high-quality work that meets all professional standards. In addition, and as part of the Firm’s ongoing development, you will also have a senior role in designing and implementing technology enabled audit techniques. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Planning and managing audit and financial reporting assignments from start to finish
  • Leading and supervising audit teams
  • Building strong client relationships and acting as key point of contact
  • Reviewing audit files and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Leading a change project including researching, implementation and training
  • Identifying business development opportunities
  • Mentoring and developing junior team members
  • Keeping up to date with technical developments and accounting standards

Essential Requirements

ACA or ACCA qualified

Recent and relevant audit experience 

Strong technical knowledge of auditing standards and financial reporting procedures

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines

Confident leadership and team management capabilities

Proficiency in audit and accounting software and Microsoft Office
